2019 Major League BaseballWe’re now a couple of weeks in to the 2019 Major League Baseball Season and there are games aplenty stacked up across the next six months. Whether you’re a Miami Marlins fan living in Florida, a diehard Diamondback in Arizona or prefer the Padres in San Diego, there are so many can’t miss games coming up this season that we reckon it’s time to get your MLB party head on. And, what could be better at this time of year than your own MLB backyard tailgate?

Step one: audio visual

Whether you want to invite the whole neighborhood or just the guys from the office, the very first step to throwing a MLB tailgate that everyone will be talking about all season is to get your audio visual game strong. Now, we may be biased here but, there’s just no beating an open air TV if you want to recreate the sense of being at the ball park. And, if you live somewhere where it isn’t still snowing (hey Colorado, we see you) having a TV in your backyard simply can’t be beat.

Luckily, our backyard TV lift cabinets make this step super easy. Totally weather proofed, designed to protect your TV from the elements, built to last, packed with tech and clever design details and good looking to boot, you’ll be the envy of the neighborhood. And you won’t have to lift a finger. Just choose which one of our stunning outdoor TV lift cabinets designs you prefer, select materials that suit your taste and backyard and then let us do the work.

All you need to do is hit that button to raise your flat screen from the safety of the cabinetry and field questions and complements from your guests. So far, so good. So what’s next?

Step two: the food

You can’t have a tailgate without a killer menu. And, because you’re having it in your own backyard you won’t need to serve a warm potato salad or limp spinach dip. Fire up that grill, throw on burgers and steaks, whip up some fresh salads, dips, mix up a few cocktails, chill some beers and make sure you have snacks on snacks. Trail mix, nachos, chili fries, popcorn… whatever you love to eat basically. The great thing about a backyard tailgate is it gives you lots more freedom when it comes to eats so you can serve up anything that takes your fancy. Whether that’s foot long hot dogs or fish tacos, you don’t need to worry about transporting anything so why not make a meal of it?

Step three: don’t forget the essentials

If you’re going to be entertaining a crowd at home, you don’t want to miss the game running backwards and forwards to the kitchen or risk having your best crockery end up in pieces. So, shop as you would for a standard tailgate. Set up a condiments table out of the way of your outdoor TV lift cabinet and pile it high with the essentials; paper plates, paper straws, disposable cups, napkins, disposable cutlery (look for wooden rather than plastic as it’s much more eco-friendly), bottle openers and hand sanitizer. You can also put your mustard, ketchup, salt and pepper in this area.  Put a couple of trash cans or trash bags in this area for cleanup too.

Step four: you’re all set!

That’s it. Just fire up the grill, grab a cold one and enjoy.
